What would any Chrono Trigger or RPG fan site be without a place for fans to share their love for a certain game, character, or story through their talents? One of the worst things a person can do in life is hide their God-given talents, so this is just one more place where you have the opportunity to show them off!
All fan art, novel cover art, and
fan fiction submissions should be sent to:
fansubmit@chronotrigger.info.
All article ideas should be sent to
novelist@chronotrigger.info
for approval.
When you submit, please be sure to include the name/alias that you would like to appear next to your submission. And please be sure to include any contact information that you may wish to have with your submission. By default, whatever name or alias we have will be displayed with no contact info.
In this section, there are three main ways for you to show off your talents...
Images--Have talents with graphics? Show them off here! Of course, to match the rest of the site, all images should pertain to RPGs in some way. Of course, there may be circumstances where we'll accept something else, but only in special cases. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about this. We prefer .jpg, .gif, and .png images (if they are not too large in size), however, you may ask if there's a format you'd prefer to submit it in for quality reasons (such as a .PSD or .PSP). Note that the image format will be converted to a web-ready format for display on the site. There are two main categories for image submissions:
Fan Art Section Novel Cover Art Section
Fan Fiction--I know that many of you have talents in writing. I'll accept submissions for anything RPG-related, and, as with the images, exceptions exist in rare circumstances. Again, ask if you have any question about it. Your work can be submitted as document (.doc) or HTML (.html or .htm) files. Please note that HTML files will be formatted to fit the layout of the site, so you don't need to add any style to it besides any special text colors, etc. that you need/want.
Articles--Articles
also tap into your writing ability. If you have something more topical,
non-fictional, or opinionated to write, then this is your section. Example
topics for this section would include reflections on the time paradoxes existing
in Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, ties between the stories of
CT and CC, why Magus's Castle must have only 100 enemies, a review
for an RPG, or an introduction to the Final Fantasy 7 Novel Project.
Anything like this is acceptable, but every topic must be approved before
it is placed on the site. Whether you've already written it or not, if
I don't approve of the topic, I won't post it. This will only happen in
extreme cases, like if I find the work too offensive or vulgar or something
along those lines.
Articles need to have a point. If you're arguing a
certain point, please present a valid argument. Saying something like
"Magus must live in the novel because he rocks" won't cut it if that's
your whole argument. Please be sure you actually have something to say
about your topic or it isn't worth your time or my time.
Unlike the other submissions, all topics and files pertaining
to articles should be sent to
novelist@chronotrigger.info for my personal approval. I would prefer
that all submissions be HTML files, but I can work with you on that. There
is no limit on the size of the article, and it can even be multiple HTML files
with images, etc. Please be aware, however, that the article will be
styled to match the appearance of the site, so you will need to consider that.
Multiple files can be sent as a ZIP or RAR file.
I truly hope that these sections will be of great enjoyment to the visitors. I'm very excited about seeing this section evolve and grow, and I hope that you will do what you can to participate in this sharing of talents. Thanks!
