Battles of Magus's Castle
The Magus's Castle chapters of the novel will obviously include lots of battles with various monsters. Right now, I'm trying to decide which of these 3 basic methods the Chrono Trigger fans would like best. Let me know what you'd prefer...
Include all of the battles from the game converted into novel format (or battles with a total of 100 vermin). -- Take the game literally
Include several major battles, but not everything. Keep Ozzie's phrase but skip some of the battles. -- Take the game impliedly.
Go for a major battle royale. Take a major Lord of the Rings-type approach, inflate the number to upwards of 500-1000 monsters, and make the characters fight like mad to reach Magus. -- Take the game action to a higher level.
