Ian's Profile

CTNP Support Team

Name: Ian Freeman

Age: 18 (Though I’ll turn 19 Nov. 2006)

Height: 5’9" (Last time I checked)

Weight: Unknown

Occupation: College freshmen/wanna-be actor

I live in Thousand Oaks, California, within close proximity of Los Angeles. My hobbies include fencing (that’s the one involving swords, mind you, not putting up boards around someone’s lawn), soccer, swimming, video games, reading, and a little bit of writing as well. I’m also a former trumpet player, but that was years ago. Above all of these things, though, I love the theater and am currently looking into improvisational comedy. If given the option, I would gladly perform for a living, but seeing as I live in the state of Hollywood, you can imagine the competition here is pretty fierce.

I currently have no job, but am looking into things such as architecture and translation. I hope to become fluent in Japanese and I would love to put that to real use, you see.

To some people, I am the definition of bizarre, but in a funny way, as I’m told. I guess the theater requires you to be that way. But when not in theater, I am usually very quiet and reclusive, which I suppose is taking after my brother, because he’s the same.

People online know me best as Lord Gyrus (or Master Gyrus, or Admiral Gyrus, depending on the forums, but I am most commonly known by my title of Lord). I can be very tolerant and accepting, but I detest people who are obnoxious, and I am especially distasteful of hypocrites.

Like my coworker, Ryan, I am fond of RPGs, especially ones with intriguing story lines, which led me to my immediate love for CT. Originally, when I discovered Wayne’s project and learned more about it, it had been my intention to try and join his effort as a translator. When he offered me one of the top spots as leader of the support team, I was pretty shocked. I accepted it, though, and whenever it’s convenient for me, I try to spread the word to other people and gather assistance from other groups.

Well, I think that may be it. I will close this with one final statement: I would like to contribute my efforts with Wayne to two things. First, to the Dream Team of Square that brought us CT. Second, to the late Jacob Paloutzian, the wonderful individual who first introduced me to CT, as well as Final Fantasy 4 and 6, Earthbound, certain kinds of anime, flash animations, and a whole bunch of other things I won’t bore you with.

I’m going to miss you, my good friend.
